Women in Research Directory
Published by the Women in Research project, the directory is both updatable and searchable.

SA Wise (South African Women in Science and Engineering) is also compiling a directory which will contain some relevant information.

  

Developing Countries

The Third World Organization of Women in Science (TWOWS) has compiled a directory of women scientists in developing countries, currently available only in hard copy. It is intended, however, that "appropriate software will be used to make these inventories useful to regional, national, and international organizations concerned with science and development in the Third World."

Gender, Science and Technology Gateway (GST Gateway), a resource for policy makers, UN agencies, development NGOs and others to implement gender-equitable and sustainable development policies, programmes and projects. WITEC, a European organization of women in technology, offers a searchable online database of women experts in science, engineering and technology at http://cemu10.fmv.ulg.ac.be/WITEC/.
