Week one - 25 November 1998 During this period, the leadership pledges to act against violence against women and to provide all our affiliates, regions and staff with a white ribbon. Affiliates and regions will in turn provide officials and shopstewards with a white ribbon as a pledge. In addition, shopstewards should also mobilise and take the white ribbon campaign to their workplaces. Week two and three The campaign will continue until 10 December 1998 with Humans Rights Day activities. Regions and affiliates will mobilise their constituencies and to invite speakers to the local meetings during the last week. We will also encourage those with recent violence incidents to speak out on these days so that this scourge in society can be dealt with. Charley Lewis
