  • Women's Rural Advocacy Programs Providing Services for Battered Women and their Children
    WRAP is a collective providing services for battered women and their children. It consists of six offices serving six counties in southwestern Minnesota in the US. The web site includes information on domestic abuse including Why Women Stay, Types of Domestic Abuse, Warning Signs, Myths, National Statistics, The Effect on Children, Men Who Batter, The Power and Control Wheel, as well as safety plans and emergency check lists.

  • Q-Web Sweden
    Q-Web Sweden describe themselves as a global communication network for exchange of knowledge, experience and ideas on women's health and gender issues. They have recently started an anti-trafficking project which is profiled at this site, and also provide an extensive resource base of information on Violence & Abuse, Empowerment of Women, Society & Women's Health, Sexuality & Reproduction and Adolescents.

  • Coalition Against Trafficking in Women
    This site presents the work of the Coalition and provides links to efforts around the world to address the issue of trafficking in women.

  • Sexual Assault Information Page
    Originating in the United States, this site provides a substantial collection of links on at least two dozen topics related to sexual assault, as well as a monthly newsletter (although newsletter production was suspended in October 1997.)

  • Abuse Against Women - Documents
    Small database of text documents focusing on Abuse, Sex Abuse, Workplace Harassment, Rape. Mostly North American, but includes some developing country content too.

  • SACOPS
    South African Communities Organising for Public Safety (SACOPS) provides an extensive resource centre. The Security and Safety section is particularly relevant.

  • Speakout
    Resource for rape survivors, those who have experienced domestic violence, and those living with HIV/AIDS. The site has been put together with assistance from experts around the world and people in South Africa ranging from rape survivors to sexologists, forensic scientists, pharmaceutical companies, police officers and others.

  • A Community Checklist: Important Steps to End Violence Against Women
    Concise and helpful article from the Community Policing Exchange magazine, published in the United States.

  • V-Day Online
    V-Day was a North American celebrity fundraising and awareness-building event about Violence Against Women, held on Valentine's Day, 1988. This site contains statistics and resources for taking action.

  • Violence Against Women Links
    Sponsored by the Feminist Majority in the United States, this site collects dozens of resources on: domestic violence, rape, violence against women, child sexual abuse, female genital mutilation and sexual harassment.

  • World Conference on Family Violence - India
    Taking place in September 1988, this conference will focus on practical, sustainable solutions that can be implemented in different cultures to stem the growing trend of family violence. Call for papers is open till April 1, 1988.
